Srinidhi vermi compost producer group

Srinidhivermi compost producer group was started on 22-03-2014 at Byregowdandoddi village, Kanakapura Taluk. The Group comprises of 10 women members having small and marginal land holdings. The total cost of the venture is Rs. 100000,with Rs. 75000 financial assistance coming from project side and remaining amount Rs25000 collected from group members as community contribution. The PG has givenRs5000 as loan for 6 members to construct the vermi compost pit and a loan of Rs.1800 to 4 members for setting up vermi wash unit.

Members have startedcommercial production (and repayment of loan amount) since May 2015 (after the initial construction period), and have started selling their products vermi compost, vermi wash through Janadhanya and also locally since Nov-2014. So farthey have sold 5.46 tons of vermi compost, (worth Rs 32760) and 305 lts ofvermi wash (worth Rs 27450and Rs 2000 worth of worms (5 kgs). Right now (Aug-31st) they have a stock of about2000 kgsof vermi compost.

They are also marketing enrichedvermi compost by adding Honge seed powder, and also have plansto enrich with bio-fertilisers (mainly trichoderma) in the coming days.

Srinidhi Vermi Compost Producer group : This producer group supplies vermicompost and vermiwash, which are organic growth promoters and consists of 10 women farmers from Byregowdanadoddi village of Maralwadi division.

Members: The Srinidhi Vermicompost producer group was formed in (DATE) and consists of ten women farmers with small and marginal land holdings. The members of this producer group have constructed a vermicompost pit and vermiwash unit, which are now operational. Vermicompost and vermiwash are excellent organic growth promoters, and the producer group processes and sells these inputs through Janadhanya.

The members of this producer group make vermicompost and vermiwash, which are organic growth promoters.
